Valentine Event to be huge 01/22/2010
0 Comments

One week ago we started taking reservations for our Valentine's Day of Pampering to honor and salute the spouses and significant others of deployed military personnel in the South Sound.  We are well over 300 RSVPs as of this afternoon, as well as completely booked in our daycare.  The good folks at Lacey Learning Center have agreed to watch over the 350+ kids we expect to be dropped off during the 4-hour event at St. Martin's University.  We have a load of public support for the event including make-up, massage, jewelry, wine, food, psychic, tanning, and hair professionals.  We can always use more.   Other highlights include instructors to teach both ballroom and belly dancing.
If you would like to be involved as a business, email us at publisher@ftlewisranger.com.

Web sites increasing in popularity 01/22/2010

With the recent launch of northwestmilitary.com, and the redesign of weeklyvolcano.com, we are proud to have two Internet sites that are well received by the local market. Our traffic to the sites are increasing weekly, and we are receiving comments to the site around the clock.  That is a great sign that we are filling the voids in South Sound communications.  Our staff is working tirelessly to find great stories, promotions and topics of discussion.

When you click on www.weeklyvolcano.com starting January 14, you'll see a major change to how we upload our stories and interact with our readers. Our site switches to Flint's network and will expand to include community and forums, as well as places for bands and other groups to interact with readers.  Our popular Spew blog will also integrate into the new site.
