Add Comment Nice letter regarding our care package event 12/16/2009
I got the package a little while ago that was sent. It had books, cookies, pictures of my kids with Santa, and pictures that they had colored for me. I am not sure how many people are in your organization, or the size of the process to send these packages out, but I wanted to say thank you. I hung the pictures on my wall, am reading the books, and shared the food with the soldiers. Thank you so much for looking after us and our families. We received a nice honor yesterday — an invitation to the 5th Stryker Brigade's Family Holiday Party in Lakewood. It was great to see our Stryker friends, as well as to pick up an award on behalf of all of our clients. TIME TO SAY THANK YOU 12/08/2009
THIS IS A GREAT TIME OF THE YEAR FOR RECOGNIZING OUR GREAT PARTNERS IN BRINGING SMILES TO OUR MILITARY PERSONNEL AND THEIR FAMILIES We're supporting the spouses 12/04/2009
The letters went out yesterday to start building our team of sponsors and volunteers for the BIG Valentine's Day of Pampering event to support the spouses of deployed soldiers and airman on V-Day Day. It's going to be a tough day for these spouses in the South Sound — their sweethearts will be deployed and fighting our nation's wars on a day when couples would rather be together. BUT, with the help of community volunteers and sponsors, we can put a huge smile on the faces of our local military spouses by pampering the heck out of them from 2-6 p.m. on Valentine's Day at St. Martin's U in Lacey. Our sponsorship letter and a run-down on who has joined the effort is available at our Group Site: www.northwestmilitary.com/community/groups/A-Valentines-Day-of-Pampering/ We are LIVE on the Web 12/01/2009
Yesterday we officially launched our new www.northwestmilitary.com - the online home for the Fort Lewis Ranger, Northwest Airlifter and NW Veteran newspapers. We are especially excited because the site comes with a robust place for readers to interact with each other. As we continue to market the site, we imagine this place where a Fort Lewis spouse living in one part of town may find another military spouse with common interests and become life long friends. The site is engineered to serve as a tool for helping our military readers find the information they need to improve their lives. Our busy season 12/01/2009
This year has proven to be as busy as every other year. Our staff puts in a lot of extra hours sending holiday gift guides, our regular papers, our new expanded Web sites and more to our readers. While we are not immune to the recession, we continue to discover that our niche military markets are high in demand from advertisers looking for customers that are fully employed. And, once again, our soldiers and airmen readers will be receiving a pay raise starting in January - the 10th year in a row!! If you would like a copy of the paycharts, please don't hesitate to give us a call at (253) 584-1212. | SWARNER COMMUNICATIONS & PUBLIC RELATIONSCombining on-the-street marketing, print, Internet and public relations to build relationships between businesses and the military, and arts & entertainment communities in the South Puget Sound area.
