Fort Lewis and McChord Air Force Base have chnaged their names. It's now Joint Base Lewis-McChord. When describing it as a whole, refer to it as the Joint Base or the Base. It's no longer a Post. As for us, we are changing the Fort Lewis Ranger to The Ranger, dropping off Fort Lewis from our name. From 1951 to 1990, we were known as The Ranger, so it's kind of old hat for us.
